LIBERTY COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) – It’s been decades of discussion about a bypass on US Highway 84 in Liberty County and Monday it’s officially starting with an honorary groundbreaking event.
The bypass will improve traffic flows and help with emergency crews response times as a railroad track has consistently impacted their operations to keep people safe.
Current county leaders said it’s been nearly three decades since previous county leaders spoke up about having this bypass. The goal is to help direct traffic around Walthourville and Hinesville, especially truck traffic…
