Stepfather’s call prompts girl’s evaluation: Chagrin Falls police blotter

CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio –

Welfare check, West Washington Street:

A nine-year-old girl’s stepfather asked police to check on her shortly after 6 p.m. June 9. He said he was talking to her on Facetime and the line disconnected. After that she did not answer the phone. The responding officers found her in good condition, with her father. He explained that he took the phone away per a court order he had and that the girl said she was going to kill herself. Chagrin Valley EMS then responded and transported her voluntarily for an evaluation. Police advised the girl’s mother of the incident…
