Central Pa. man gets less than 2 years in jail for choking 23-year-old wife before she died

A Lancaster County man who was charged with strangling his wife before she died in the spring of 2023 pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of simple assault, court records show.

Two felonies and a second misdemeanor charge were withdrawn against Jordan Ortiz during a June 10 hearing, according to online court records.
