An Oakland man who led police on a reckless chase in a vehicle and on foot was sentenced in San Joaquin County to over two years in prison, the District Attorney’s Office said Monday.
On Nov. 9, 2023, a California Highway Patrol officer in San Joaquin County in the Stockton area saw a vehicle traveling at about 82 mph without any plates. The officer attempted to initiate a stop, and the driver at first appeared to be exiting the freeway to stop, but then accelerated and re-entered the freeway at a high rate of speed.
