BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A Bakersfield resident was among those arrested after a multi-agency investigation into an alleged drug trafficking with counterfeit pills in Modesto.
The Modesto Police Department said investigators from the Modesto Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted a joint investigation into multiple people allegedly involved in trafficking counterfeit Oxycodone pills across Stanislaus County.
Police said in a social media post, “These pills are often made to look like legitimate prescription medication but are illegally manufactured and laced with fentanyl, a highly potent and deadly synthetic opioid.”…
