Summer heat fell across most of Minnesota over the weekend, leaving many to find sanctuary in a pool. But for some enjoying a rooftop pool party, the day ended in a chaotic scene that left three people with gunshot wounds.
The incident happened Saturday night around 11:45 PM. Several people called 911 to report shots being fired at a rooftop pool. When police and medics arrived, they found three victims, all with non-life-threatening injuries.
One 21-year-old male was shot in the lower abdomen, a 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg, and another unidentified victim was also shot in the leg.
Chaotic Scene Unfolds in St. Paul
According to MNCrime.com, when police arrived at the rooftop pool at the Kellogg Square apartments in St. Paul, they encountered a “chaotic scene with a large and uncooperative crowd made up of both adults and juveniles.”
Two of the victims were transported to Regions Hospital by paramedics. The third victim arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle and refused to cooperate with police.
Suspect Description and Ongoing Investigation in Minnesota
Shell casings were recovered from the scene. Police say the suspect, who was carrying a handgun and fled the scene before they arrived, is described as “a Black male with a goatee, wearing a gray hat, white sweatshirt and pants, and black Crocs.”…
