New construction on U.S. Highway 60 in Webster County causes some negative impacts on citizens

DIGGINS, Mo. (KY3) – Commuters traveling on U.S. Highway 60 near Diggins in Webster County might have seen some new construction. The project focuses on creating safer ways to turn onto the highway.

Brad Gripka, Resident Engineer at MODOT’s Springfield Office, said this project is intended to fix the continuously dangerous intersections near Route A and Route NN.

”The biggest impact in this project is going to be the new interchange for Route A coming over into Route NN. We’ve had several accidents at this interchange over the years, so this is going to be a huge safety improvement just for the community, for the Amish, for everyone around here, it’s gonna be a big improvement,“ Gripka said…
