LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Showers and thunderstorms brought heat relief to Acadiana Sunday afternoon. While a few showers will linger through the evening hours, all rain comes to an end overnight. Temperatures gradually fall into the mid 70s with high humidity as we head into Monday.
Monday will see temperatures rising fast, likely reaching 90 degrees around lunchtime. Storms begin to develop and become widespread during the afternoon hours. Storms may bring strong, gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall. This rain will help to cool temperatures going into the evening hours.
