Over the weekend, I tried to find a spot to beat the heat where I could take the dog out for some exercise, but no matter how far north you could drive, temperatures were still brutally hot.
Even in shaded areas with plenty of water, the sun and muggy conditions are just too intense for any outdoor play. But the dog needs someplace to get the zoomies out.

When the outside temperature is just above 90 degrees, the temperature on pavement or asphalt can reach 150 degrees. Imagine what that can do to your feet, let alone those sensitive dog paws.
