Police assisted fire department personnel on a call of an unresponsive man behind the wheel of a vehicle at 8:45 p.m. May 29. The man was awakened and had slurred speech, smelled of alcohol and said he was having trouble unbuckling his seat belt while the belt was already unbuckled. He reportedly had difficulty exiting the van and a partially empty bottle of liquor was found inside the van. Reports said the van did not appear to have been driven recently, due to its engine being cold to the touch, and there were no witnesses who saw the man driving the van.
