Iowa ensures kids stay fed: Free meals at 540 sites this summer

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Department of Education announced that over 540 sites across Iowa are offering free meals to children this summer through the Seamless Summer Option and Summer Food Service programs.

These programs, federally funded since 1968, provide meals to all children under 18 at schools, churches, community centers, parks, libraries, and camps.
