YORKVILLE, Ill. — A body found in a field in Yorkville on Sunday has been presumptively identified as a 16-year-old girl who was previously reported missing, the Kendall County Coroner’s Office announced.
Kendall County authorities had asked for help from the public in searching for 16-year-old Aiyana Williams, who Yorkville police say was missing since Monday. Officers said the missing teen girl was last spotted in the Country Hills subdivision near Fawn Ridge Court.

Authorities say officers conducting foot patrol and drone operations located the body at 2 a.m. in a field near Route 71 and Country Hills Drive.
“Based on the preliminary investigation, the individual was presumptively identified as Aiyana N. Williams,” the Kendall County Coroner’s Office said.
The cause and manner of her death is still unknown. The incident is still under investigation.
