Police: Two arrested; guns found in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people were arrested in Kalamazoo after officials recovered two guns Saturday, police say.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says it was working with the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to “address gun violence” in the city. They were looking for Somarion Bennett, who they say was wanted on outstanding gun-related warrants and had been arrested in May for illegally carrying a gun.
