IMPD: Arrest made in weekend canal shooting that left 3 wounded

INDIANAPOLIS — One person has been arrested following a shooting on the downtown canal early Saturday morning that left three people injured, officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department told FOX59/CBS4.

Crime scene tape is still tied to a tree and the gate of a home in the 600 block of the Canal Walk where IMPD recovered lots of shell casings and multiple guns. IMPD announced Monday that detectives arrested 18-year-old Cortez Starks for his alleged role in the incident. Starks faces a preliminary charge for unlawful possession of a handgun.
