ROCKFORD, IL — Emails obtained via a public records request show the company that built the Hard Rock Casino Rockford, the Winnebago County Criminal Justice Center and Woodward’s Loves Park manufacturing facility is in talks to take over at Colman Yards.
The documents show Ringland-Johnson Construction Chairman & CEO Brent Johnson has for months worked to convince Milwaukee-based J. Jeffers & Co. to allow his company to rescue the failed historic redevelopment project off South Main Street in southwest Rockford.
