The ex-wife of a U.S. Border Patrol agent, who died in February after battling cancer, alleges “undue influence” was exerted on him to get him to change the beneficiaries of his death benefits plan while he was hospitalized in San Antonio.
Siboney Salinas says in a lawsuit that because of ex-husband Roberto Salinas Jr.’s illness, he “lacked the mental capacity to understand the nature and consequences of his actions” when he signed paperwork to change the plan beneficiaries. The benefits are valued at more than $500,000.
