New fee curbs cuts, but finding a sustainable long-term budget a hurdle for Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. — The City of Eugene has a new two-year budget. It was approved Monday night during a city council meeting and it saves several city services that were on the chopping block.

Still, reductions remain, and the path to a more sustainable, long-term budget plan is on the minds of council members and those rendering community services.
