After an audit on ECGRA, it was determined that Erie County owed the organization more than $500,000 — The county has now cut that check.
This came after Erie County Executive Brenton Davis voiced hesitation in following the Pennsylvania Auditor General’s request.

The $538,000 check doesn’t include money owed for the most recent fiscal year, which the executive director of ECGRA said amounts to another $170,000.
“I think what’s really important for the next step is to get a reconciliation process in place. Reconciliation is basically where we would come together with the county and agree upon the revenue split. We need to do that at the end of every year and make sure we’re coming up with the same numbers so we can avoid this in the future,” said Perry Wood, executive director of ECGRA.
