FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Temperatures continue to rise in Fort Wayne, and the Office of Housing and Neighborhood Services is offering help to residents find some relief from the heat.
The City of Fort Wayne will now be accepting applications for their Heating & Air Conditioning program, which offers qualified residents a zero percent interest loan for the replacement and installation of new heating and air-conditioning systems.
The loans are secured by a mortgage, and monthly payments are required for repayment over 10 years. The process could take up to six months for the new HVAC units to be installed.
