New Wyoming housing project aims to end homelessness with health services

WYOMING, Mich. — Cherry Health, Woda Cooper Companies, and state and local leaders broke ground Tuesday on Shea Ravines. It’s a new 56-unit affordable housing development located at Cherry Health’s Wyoming Community Health Center.

The $17 million project will offer 40 one-bedroom and 16 two-bedroom units for singles, families and seniors earning up to 80% of the area’s median income.

Twenty of the units will serve as Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) for individuals exiting homelessness, supported by rental assistance from the Grand Rapids Housing Commission and services from Community Rebuilders…
