Bank of the Islands Donates to SCCF Summer Programs

Bank of the Islands recently made its latest non-profit donation through its “We Love Our Islands” program. Longtime islander and Bank of the Islands customer Karen Storjohann was the lucky winner. Storjohann selected SCCF (the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation) to receive the Bank’s $3,200 donation.

This donation marks $151,800 given away to date through the Bank of the Islands’ “We Love Our Islands” program. It also represents the eighth donation since the Bank doubled the weekly outlay for the program.

“We’re so pleased Karen chose to direct our latest donation to SCCF,” said Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff. “Even though we’re in the ‘low season’, SCCF is very much in high gear. Whether it’s protecting our nesting sea turtles and shorebirds, fighting for sound environmental policies from our islands to the Everglades, welcoming kids to the Sanibel Sea School Summer Camp, monitoring water quality through the SCCF Marine Lab, and more, SCCF remains an essential conservation steward for Sanibel, Captiva and all of Southwest Florida. This donation is a great way to shine a spotlight on their good work and show how much we appreciate being your island bank.”…
