SAN DIEGO (FOX5/KUSI)– A bird’s eye view of the burn scar from the Ariane Fire shows five acres of charred vegetation.
It’s the same view that Jill Votaw had as she watched smoke rise from the bottom of the canyon from her backyard.
“When the fire started, there was just smoke and ash blowing this way. And then the fire just raged up the hillside. You can see in the scars that it was not the whole hillside, but it was like strings of fire going up,” Votaw said…
