Savannah to host public forum on city’s strategic plan

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Savannah is taking a big step forward in shaping its future and the community is invited to be part of the journey. Wednesday residents will get a chance to weigh in on the city’s new strategic plan.

Called “Savannah GPS,” it’s to make sure your voice is at the heart on how Savannahians live, work and thrive. Savannah hasn’t had a full strategic plan since 2017 and your input will help guide the future. From safety to housing, “Savannah GPS” has been shaped by what matters to you most. Now the city is presenting it for your feedback before being finalized.

Earlier this year residents were asked to share their concerns and hopes for the future. More than 1,200 people responded. Those responses ranged from public safety and affordable housing to economic growth and infrastructure. From that information, the draft version of “Savannah GPS” was created. The resulting strategic plan reflects what the community said matters most…
