WAUKEE, Iowa – State Auditor and Iowa Democratic Candidate for Governor Rob Sand held his first of 100 town halls on Wednesday evening.
Sand has done the 100 town halls tour throughout his two terms as state auditor, but this will be the first time he holds the town halls while he is running in the Iowa Democratic primary. Sand started with a brief update on his background and how he was raised. Then he opened it up to questions from the audience at the Prairieview School in Waukee. The crowd had a mix of registered democrats, republicans and independents.

Sand headed to a second town hall event in Ankeny on Wednesday evening. These two will mark stops in Dallas and Polk Counties.
According to the campaign, the tour will be an opportunity for Sand to hear directly from Iowans about their top concerns, and for Iowans to hear directly from him about his visions to lower costs, make government accountable and help Iowans live healthier lives…
