Man accused of asking Omaha children to get in his truck to ‘drink beer, see some ladies’ appears in court

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A man charged with two counts of criminal child enticement appeared in Douglas County Court on Wednesday.

Rafael Gomez-Hernandez, 31, faces up to six years in prison if convicted.

According to the Omaha Police Department’s report, officers were dispatched to a disturbance at 48th and Pacific Streets on April 5 at 7:54 p.m. for a disturbance call.

Officers learned a man, later identified as Gomez-Hernandez, had followed two 12-year-old juveniles and asked them to get into his vehicle, according to authorities…
