ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A mother, accused of child abuse after leaving her toddler in a hot car, has been ordered not to see her kid. Gabriela Cardenas was in front of Judge David Murphy for a pretrial detention hearing on Wednesday.

Albuquerque police were called after her three-year-old was found alone in a car on a hundred-degree day. When asked about it, Cardenas told police she thought it would be a quick trip to the store. Judge Murphy put Cardenas under the supervision of pretrial services and ordered her to have zero contact with the victim.
