Hopkinsville man charged after dog dies in a hot car

A Hopkinsville man is facing felony charges after a dog died in a hot car on Hayes Street Tuesday.

According to the Hopkinsville Police Department report, Animal Control responded to Moores Court for a call for help about a dog stuck in a hot vehicle that was unresponsive. The dog would later die due to being overheated and being left in the vehicle for too long.
