WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Helping first responder learn coping mechanisms and accepting the reality of the mental and physical tolls that they experience on the job is the goal of the Hanley Foundation’s new program. The organization has launched its new Patriots Initiative.
First responders are on the frontlines, day and night, responding to some of the worst incidents in our area. Oftentimes, they take those experiences home with them. So, the new program is opening the door to talk and learning how to cope in healthy ways.
