Brunswick County issues stage 1 water conservation alert

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Brunswick County is asking residents to conserve water effective immediately.

According to the county, the alert is to ensure water is available for essential needs. Right now, the county states demand for water has exceeded the 80% available capacity threshold.

“Water system customers are requested to make voluntary adjustments to their water usage habits to appreciably reduce peak demands,” the county said…
