When it comes to getting iconic views in the Wilmington area, you won’t find any quite like the ones at Airlie Gardens.
The historic gardens, which a century ago helped form the sprawling Pembroke Jones estate but have been run and maintained by New Hanover County since 1999, are nestled between Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach. Not only is it beautiful there, but it’s also a restful, scenic oasis in the heart of the city, a statement at once cliche but also very true.
