ACLU criticizes Oregon lawmakers for adding drone surveillance amendment last-minute

SALEM, Ore. (KATU) — A last-minute amendment to Oregon’s Senate Bill 1125 ignited controversy, drawing significant opposition from voters, community members, and elected leaders across the state.

The amendment, added to the bill on June 24 around 7:00 p.m., incorporates provisions from the unpopular Senate Bill 238A, allowing law enforcement to use drones with reduced court oversight.
