Busby Parents Share Update on Daughter Parker’s Anxiety Journey
Fans of TLC’s OutDaughtered have been following along as Adam and Danielle Busby navigate parenting their six daughters, including quintuplets Ava, Olivia, Riley, Hazel, and Parker. Parker, age 10, has previously been open about her struggles with anxiety, and in a recent episode of their podcast, More Than Reality, the Busbys offered an encouraging update on her progress.
Adam discussed how they’ve worked with Parker from a young age, highlighting some of their strategies on the show. The difference in Parker is noticeable, even to the OutDaughtered production crew returning after a hiatus.
Adam remarked that the crew was amazed by the change in her, noting her increased confidence. He attributed this growth to Parker becoming more comfortable with herself and recognizing her own abilities.
Danielle echoed this sentiment, expressing surprise at how far Parker has come. She described her daughter’s past reliance on security and contrasted it with her current, more self-assured demeanor. Danielle emphasized the importance of parental encouragement, gently pushing Parker to try new things, even when anxiety holds her back.
The Busbys shared some of the early signs of Parker’s anxiety, such as upset stomachs and sensitivity to large groups. They’ve helped her by preparing her for potentially anxiety-inducing situations and encouraging her to express her feelings. Activities like dance class have also played a role in building her confidence.
