TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Ohioans could soon be prohibited from using food stamps to purchase pop.
The state’s $60-billion budget bill includes a provision, that would need final approval from the federal government, to ban the purchase of “sugar-sweetened beverages” using Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits.
