COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — More than 100 police officers from Columbus and other local jurisdictions took part in a training session focusing on navigating trauma and building resiliency Wednesday.
The training focused specifically on trauma and how officers can best respond to people in the community who have experienced a mental health crisis.
Every day, officers respond to mental health calls; it’s important they have the best training. Which is why officers gathered at the Columbus Police Academy for an eight-hour Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training day.
