FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Hot, humid weather will continue through the weekend. Highs expected to be in the low 90s on Thursday and Friday, with a slight dip into the upper 80s on Saturday before returning to the low 90s on Sunday. During the time, the heat index during the hottest part of the afternoon will range between 95-100 degrees. So, it will still feel hotter than the actual air temperature for the next several day.
Also, thanks to the heat and humidity. Isolated pop-up rain showers and thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon/early evening Thursday through Sunday. One or two strong wind gusts are possible within these storms, but the severe weather risk is on the low side…
