Oakland police issued a warning Thursday after receiving several reports of robberies and carjackings of ride-hail drivers.
Police said three cases were reported in which people requesting rides in the area of 46th Avenue and Foothill Boulevard attempted to rob the drivers.
The passengers claim to have an issue with the car, police said, upon the driver’s arrival at the pickup spot or after getting in and asking them to pull over. The police department said that the suspect or suspects then try to rob the driver or steal the car…
