Bull elk making their presence known around Fort Collins, including by the Lincoln Center

Two bull elk didn’t get the memo to migrate from the city to the mountains when temperatures heated up this summer.

The elk, whose antlers are in velvet, have been seen together roaming around Fort Collins the past several weeks, and their presence has been recorded on social media.

Recently, the two elk have been seen in Midtown Fort Collins crossing Magnolia Street near the Lincoln Center, along the Power Trail and at Edora Park. In recent weeks, the elk were seen on the west side of Rocky Mountain High School and nearby Rossborough Park, among other places…
