Santa rose extending trolley service hours

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — The Santa Rosa Island Authority will be extending the hours of public transportation on the island and will be adding extra buses to the schedule for the upcoming Pensacola Air Show.

Starting on Friday, July 11, the SRIA will extend their three, free open-air trolleys service out to Park East. The extended service will last till 6 p.m. and then return to normal routes until midnight. The next day, the SRIA will have an additional four buses for transport and continue the extended service for the same hours.

Passengers will only be picked up and dropped off at the designated stops. All stop will be flagged with a designated Escambia Country Area Transit flag to be easily identified. After the air show, any trolleys routing Portofino Resort or Park East will be parked on the Via de Luna side of the Sideline’s Sports Bar and Hampton Inn. The trolleys routing Park West will be located on Fort Pickens Rd. in front of the Surf & Sand Hotel and The Sandshaker.
