Increased MTA bus service coming to NYC this weekend

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Some New Yorkers will see some improved MTA bus service in their neighborhood starting this weekend, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Friday.

The MTA will increase service on 14 local routes in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island beginning Sunday. The transit agency particularly focused on improving the frequency of buses during peak periods.

Service improvements are expected to reduce wait times by as much as two and a half minutes as well as decrease travel times and shorten commutes.
