WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Construction is currently underway to create a 250-foot permeable pavement service road at the newly renovated Brooks Field at the UNCW.
McAdams Co. designed the project that will transform the existing, hard and compacted path into a permeable drive that soaks in rain, helping to reduce flooding and decrease the volume of polluted runoff flowing into the Bradley Creek watershed.
This project is one of many on the UNCW campus focused on implementing the Bradley and Hewletts Creeks Watershed Restoration Plan.
