Man who pleaded guilty in 2016 home invasion, deadly 2021 shooting sentenced to 20 years in prison

MADISON, Wis. — A man who pleaded guilty in a violent 2016 home invasion on Madison’s west side and a deadly 2021 shooting on the city’s northeast side was sentenced Thursday to 20 years in prison.

During a hearing Thursday, a judge sentenced Chabris Link, 36, to 15 years in prison with 10 years of extended supervision for the shooting, and five years in prison with five years of extended supervision for the home invasion.
