NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A performer for the Super Bowl halftime show has been arrested after he allegedly caused a disturbance during the performance back on Feb. 9.
According to the Louisiana State Police, during the show, 41-year-old performer Zul-Quarnain Kwame Nantambu, of New Orleans, allegedly broke from his assigned role to run across the field with a flag which read “Sudan and Free Gaza.”
Troopers say Nantambu was quickly apprehended after he refused to stop. He was later identified as a suspect by the LSP, with an investigation reportedly confirming that he was hired as an extra performer during the halftime show…
