New Orleans Man Sentenced to 8 Years for Federal Gun Crimes, Includes Machine Gun Possession

Cardell Glover, 24, of New Orleans, was sentenced last Tuesday, to eight years in federal prison for unlawful possession of a firearm as a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a machine gun. The sentences will run at the same time. He will also have three years of supervised release and must pay a $300 special assessment fee, as reported by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the incident happened on July 9, 2024. A rideshare driver, who also works as a security guard, reported her firearm stolen to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
