Quick Recapture: How a Pre-Trial Release Revocation Led to a Swift Arrest
LAKELAND, Fla. – A 23-year-old Lakeland man, already facing fraud and theft charges, found himself back in custody with surprising speed on Friday. Scott Engle, who was out on pre-trial release, was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office shortly after a warrant for his arrest was issued.
Engle was reportedly not adhering to the conditions of his pre-trial release, deputies say. As a result, Pre-Trial Services decided to revoke his release and alerted the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) that a warrant was imminent.
