Memphis Police Seek Public’s Help to Apprehend Suspect in Armed Robbery at Walgreens on Elvis Presley Boulevard

Memphis police are currently reaching out to the public for assistance after a business robbery took place earlier this week at a Walgreens on the famed Elvis Presley Boulevard. The incident, occurring at about 7:10 p.m. on Monday, involved a single male suspect who robbed the store at gunpoint. The criminal act unfolded as the suspect approached the register with two gift cards and displayed a weapon, enforcing his demand for cash from the store employee. Details provided by the Memphis Police Department indicate that the employee complied, handing over more than $400.

The suspect has been described as a thin Black male in his mid-20s, standing at approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall. During the robbery, he was attired in a black ski mask, a white t-shirt, black pants, and black shoes, and was seen carrying a black crossbody bag. The weapon used was reported to be a black and chrome gun. After the robbery, the suspect was seen to quickly flee the scene on foot.
