Don’t be alarmed: Gunfire tonight in Mobile could indicate filmmaking

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Gunfire may be heard in certain areas of Mobile on Friday evening, but residents should not be alarmed; it could be coming from a film in production.

The City of Mobile and the Mobile Film Office are working on a film with local first responders tonight between 6:30 and 9 p.m. around Museum Drive, News 5 has learned.

The production will include some use of blank gunfire that could be heard in the areas around Langan Park, the Mobile Museum of Art and Playhouse at the Park, according to a city news release.

According to the release, the film crew is working closely with the Mobile Police Department, Mobile Fire-Rescue Department and the Mobile Film Office, and off-duty officers will be on the scene…
