Nashville Jury Convicts Hate Group Member for Vicious Assault on Jewish Man: Goyim Defense League’s Ryan McCann Behind Bars for 13 Years

In a decisive move against hate crimes, a Nashville jury has handed down a guilty verdict to Ryan McCann, a member of the Goyim Defense League, for assaulting a Jewish man in 2024. McCann, 30, was convicted on charges of Assault Resulting in Bodily Injury and Civil Rights Intimidation following an incident in a downtown parking lot, according to the Nashville County District Attorney’s Office.

The jury, which returned the verdict after only three hours of deliberation, found the Canadian-born self-identified white supremacist guilty, signaling a clear stance against racially-motivated violence. McCann, who was in the city for a march with his associated hate group, now faces up to 13 years behind bars for the crimes.
