Grand jury indicts Pensacola woman in boyfriend’s death

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — An Escambia County grand jury has indicted a woman accused of killing her boyfriend in February 2021, according to the United States Department of Justice.

Bundle of cocaine washes up on Baldwin County beach

40-year-old Shanette Maria Robinson was arrested in May 2025 in connection with the death of her boyfriend, 30-year-old Joshua Javon Donald, on Feb. 26, 2021.

Donald was found shot to death in a home on West Highland Avenue.

Pensacola Police Department officers said Robinson told them at the time of the shooting that she shot him in self-defense.

PPD officials said they were recently able to uncover inconsistencies in Robinson’s story due to forensic tests.
