One week later: Roanoke restaurant and bar works to recover after fire

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – It’s been one week since Fork in the Market had to shut off the taps and close their doors after a fire broke out in the kitchen. But management says they’ve been working every day to have their customers back as soon as possible.

A sign inside reads “People’s Bar of Roanoke,” but the dining room is still empty on Friday as the weekend begins.

“This is the first time we’ve had anything this extreme,” said General Manager Brandon Blevins. “We’ve had some small issues in the past but never anything that’s shut us down.”…
