BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – For some people, when the summer bills go higher, it’s a choice between things like buying groceries or keeping the lights on, but the city wants to help.
“Gotta pay all the bills, insurance, and the economy the way it is, I’ll be glad to get some help,” said Clement Tatney, a Baton Rouge resident.
Tatney is one of hundreds of people in East Baton Rouge Parish who waited in line to get assistance on their utility bills. Tatney says making ends meet is hard enough as it is without the summer heat causing his electricity bill to skyrocket.“…
